Costa Calida stretches for 250Km from the Carolina beach in Aguilas, Almeria province, in south-east Spain, to the El Mojon beach on the boundary with Alicante – at the south end of Costa Blanca – and includes the resort of Mazzaron, historic Roman port of Cartagena, the watersports and sub-aqua heaven of La Manga and Mar Menor.
Blessed with an average of 315 days of sunshine per year, with temperatures averaging 17 degrees, this stretch of Murcian coastline and the surrounding area offers a wide range of activities for the visitor… All manner of water sports, hiking, hill-climbing, cycling, historical places of interest, as well as excellent eating places, and much more.
This selection of photos show a few of the beaches and coastal resorts between Torrevieja and Torre de La Horadada. We often had Sunday lunch and spent the afternoon at the Baraca Restaurant right on Playa de la Glea at Campoamor.
